Each day we make decisions on ways to express ourselves, and I strive to provide an outlet for others to articulate their own artistic expression through my jewelry. My passion for making jewelry began several years ago in my need for finding a stress release. I worked for thirty years in the computer industry and used the outlet of jewelry design to unwind after a stressful day. I began my jewelry career being primarily self-taught, but wanting to expand my knowledge regarding the business aspects of this industry, recently I completed the Sheffield School Jewelry Design: Beading and Wire Working program.
I primarily enjoy working with wire since it is so easily shaped and gives the jewelry wonderful movement. Also I love the natural beauty of semi-precious stones. I look for inspiration from many places. Sometimes just a single bead will "speak to me" and will be the idea behind the design. Sometimes a piece of fabric or a picture will be the inspiration. For instance, recently I came across some beautiful photographs of the Serengeti Plains in Africa, and those pictures inspired my "Heart of the Serengeti" collection. The majority of my pieces are one-of-a-kind. I also love to branch out and make fun pieces such as ceiling fan pulls, key chains, eyeglass leashes, etc.
Many of my jewelry designs can be found at a local art gallery, Aiken Center for the Arts, and in my etsy shop. Also I occasionally participate in local art festivals and craft shows.

"I hope that women everywhere will wear this jewelry and feel the passion and love that is, to me, the real spirit of True Harmony."
